James Memorial, Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd




The memorial to Evan and James James, lyricist and composer respectively of 'Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau' (Land of My Fathers), the Welsh national anthem. The statues were designed by Sir William Goscombe John and were unveiled by Lord Treowen in 1930 before a crowd of 10,000 people. Published by Aberdare Blog
